December 5th, neighbours will be pitching tents to Sleep Out for Syrians.
Danforth East friends and neighbours have come together to support The Neighbourhood Group in their drive to sponsor two Syrian Refugee families to come to Toronto. We need your help – our Fundraising Goal is $10,000. How it works: Each tent has a fundraising goal of at least $250. With your help, this chilly demonstration of collaboration, concern and solidarity will allow us welcome brand new neighbours from Syria into our community. There are three ways you can join in:
Pre-Sleep Community Party! Come at 5:30 for dinner and music. $20 suggested donation. Church of the Resurrection, 1100 Woodbine Ave.
Sleep Out! Pitch a tent and commit to raise at least $250.
Donate! Sponsor campers to reach their goal by donating at this link. Type “DECA” or the name of your camper in the message space. (Tax receipts will be issued)
